Max Lock Feature

The Max Lock function is a powerful tool for users with multiple locks who want to optimize their voting power with a single action. Instead of manually extending each lock to 4 years individually, Max Lock does it all at once.

Max Lock Benefits:

  • Time Efficiency: Extend all eligible locks in one transaction
  • Gas Savings: One transaction instead of multiple
  • Power Maximization: Instantly boost all locks to maximum duration
  • Strategic Advantage: Quickly respond to governance proposals or incentive changes

Max Lock Process:

  1. Navigate to the Max Lock option (available when you have multiple locks)
  2. The system displays all eligible locks:
  • Shows only locks with less than 4 years remaining
  • Locks already at 4 years are excluded
  • Each lock’s current duration and veDXLYN are displayed
  1. Review the upgrade:
  • See how much veDXLYN each lock will gain
  • Total veDXLYN increase across all locks
  • New uniform unlock date (4 years from now)

4.Confirm the transaction:

  • One wallet approval extends all selected locks
  • Fees scale with the number of locks being extended
  • All locks update simultaneously
  1. Post-Max Lock State:
  • Every lock now has a 4-year duration
  • All veDXLYN balances are recalculated and maximized
  • Your total voting power increases substantially
  • All locks share the same new expiration date

Max Lock Example:

  • Lock A: 500 DXLYN, 6 months left (62.5 veDXLYN)
  • Lock B: 300 DXLYN, 1 year left (75 veDXLYN)
  • Lock C: 700 DXLYN, 2 years left (350 veDXLYN)
  • Total before: 487.5 veDXLYN

After Max Lock:

  • Lock A: 500 DXLYN, 4 years left (500 veDXLYN) [+437.5]
  • Lock B: 300 DXLYN, 4 years left (300 veDXLYN) [+225]
  • Lock C: 700 DXLYN, 4 years left (700 veDXLYN) [+350]
  • Total after: 1,500 veDXLYN [+1,012.5 or +208% increase]
