Increase Lock Amount

Increasing your lock allows you to add more DXLYN tokens to an existing lock without altering its duration. This is perfect when:

  • You’ve acquired more DXLYN and want to increase voting power
  • You want to boost your rewards without extending time commitment
  • You’re satisfied with current duration but want more influence

Increase Process:

  1. Select “Increase” from your lock management menu extend

  2. Your wallet’s DXLYN balance displays prominently for reference extend

  3. Specify the amount to add:

  • Manual Entry: Type the exact amount
  • Quick Select: Choose 25%, 50%, or MAX of available balance
  • The interface shows the calculated token amount for each percentage
  1. Review the increase summary:
  • Additional DXLYN being added
  • Current lock amount + increase = new total
  • Projected veDXLYN after the addition
  • Unchanged unlock date
  1. Confirm the wallet transaction:
  • Transaction displays added token amount and fees
  • Upon confirmation, tokens are immediately added to the lock
  • veDXLYN recalculates based on new token amount and remaining duration

Increase Example:

  • Current lock: 500 DXLYN with 1 year remaining (125 veDXLYN)
  • Increase by: 500 DXLYN
  • New state: 1,000 DXLYN with 1 year remaining (250 veDXLYN)
  • veDXLYN doubled by doubling the locked amount

Key Difference: Extend vs. Increase:

  • Extend: Adds time → increases veDXLYN without locking more tokens
  • Increase: Adds tokens → increases veDXLYN without extending time
  • Both strategies boost your governance power in different ways
