What Are Gauges?
Gauges are smart contracts that manage the staking of LP tokens and the distribution of emission rewards. Each whitelisted liquidity pool has an associated gauge where users can stake their LP tokens to become eligible for emissions.
Gauge Functions:
- Accept LP token deposits from liquidity providers
- Track staked balances for each user
- Calculate emission reward distributions based on voting outcomes
- Handle reward claims and withdrawals
- Interface with the voting system to receive emission allocations
